Hello again. Long time no update. Exams are all over and done now, it’s the summer holidays and my new film is going along great! Yet, most exciting of all this week I went down to London on a short trip where I met Derren Brown! Derren is a psychological illusionist who’s done programs for Chanel 4 and also performs live tours. I met up with my Dad in London and we saw Derren’s newest show “Enigma.” I don’t want to spoil anything about it, but it was really, really spectacular. All his past shows have been recorded and shown on TV, but if you get a chance to see it I recommend it 100%!
Alongside my film-making I really love learning and performing magic tricks as a hobby. Derren is up on my top 5 list of people to meet and it was absolutely amazing to get the chance to speak with him. I have his autograph, and lots of photos can be found on my Flickr page. After putting on such an amazing show it’s brilliant that he came out to meet everyone! Last year I bought a special DVD from his website where he teaches his old card repertoire and finally meeting him gave me the chance to actually ask him some questions about the details of performance of one of the card routines. It was really great!
